This is the workshop in which it all began and, in many ways, is the heartbeat of our program. Books from local school libraries are repaired, which helps forge the strong intergenerational message that has served as a guidepost for Yad LaKashish over the years. Many tourists now bring their precious but damaged books with them to Israel, secure in the knowledge that their tomes will be treated with patience and professionalism. Heirloom editions, synagogue treasures and favorite children's books are also salvaged in this most special workshop.
