Chanukah Sameach!
Chanukah greetings to all of our friends, volunteers and supporters, who enable us to continue our work on behalf of the needy elderly. In this Chanukah feature, which we hope you will enjoy reading, we share some of our recent activities and achievements.
Next year, Yad LaKashish will be celebrating 50 years of unique service to the needy elderly and the community, working to promote social justice, advocating on behalf of the weak while at the same time empowering them to remain equal members of the society. As 2011 draws to a close, we are proud to report an increase of 10% in the number of the elderly incorporated into our program, and that in spite of the harsh impact of the world-wide economic recession, we are still maintaining the same level of financial support offered to them as in previous years.
Your partnership makes all of this possible, and we hope we can rely on your continuing support to help us maintain the daily services we provide to our elderly, which keeps them alive and well, with dignity and self respect. Please consider making your tax-exempt donation now. Click here to donate now.
Chanukah is now well underway, and as usual at Yad LaKashish, there will be daily candle lighting in every workshop, while not forgetting the traditional jelly donuts! Should you be in Jerusalem, you are warmly invited to join us. Otherwise, on behalf of all the elderly and staff at Yad LaKashish, I would like to wish you and your loved ones a very happy Chanukah.
