Paper Mache Star of David Dreidel

35
Fun and colorful dreidel handmade of paper mache, painted with acrylic paints and coated with lacquer for protection. Great for Hanukkah decorating or for playing with, the dreidel is lightweight and durable and is great for kids and adults alike!
Painted on the dreidel are the four Hebrew letters: 'Nun' for 'ness' (miracle), 'Gimel' for 'gadol' (large/great), 'Hei' for 'haya' (was/happened), 'Pey' for 'poh' (here). Because the Hanukkah miracle happened in Israel, Israeli dreidels have the letters for 'a great miracle happened here' while dreidels anywhere else in the world usually have the letter 'Shin' for 'sham' (there) - 'a great miracle happened there'.
